Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 October 2026
By using unscramble.tools (“the site”, “we”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Use of the site
The site and its tools are free for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse them: do not attempt to disrupt or overload the service, scrape it at a rate that harms other visitors, or probe it for security weaknesses. Automated access to the JSON endpoints is not permitted unless we have agreed to it.
Accuracy of results
Results come from open word lists and are provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that a word is accepted by any particular game, dictionary or competition, or that our lists are complete or error-free. Always check a game’s own rules and word list before relying on a result, especially in tournaments.
Intellectual property
The site’s design, code and original text belong to us. The word lists, frequency data, pronunciations and definitions are the work of third parties under their own licences (public domain, CC BY-SA 4.0, MPL and similar); they are credited in the footer and remain under those licences.
Scrabble® is a trademark of Hasbro in the US and Canada and of Mattel elsewhere. Words With Friends® is a trademark of Zynga. Wordle® is a trademark of The New York Times Company. We are not affiliated with these companies and use their names only to describe what our tools are compatible with.
Advertising and third-party services
The site may display advertisements and uses analytics services provided by third parties such as Google. We are not responsible for the content of third-party sites we link to or for their privacy practices. See the Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, including any loss from relying on a result. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
