How Text Twist works

Each round gives you six or seven letters. You need at least one word that uses all of them to move on, and extra points come from finding every shorter word of three letters or more.

A strategy that works

  • Find the full-length bonus word first; it guarantees the next round.
  • Then work down by length. Plurals with S and past tenses with ED quickly add words.
  • Three-letter words are the easiest to miss. The list here shows all of them.

Frequently asked questions

Why are some answers not accepted in my game?

Each version of the game uses its own word list. Ours is the public-domain ENABLE list, so a handful of rare words may differ.

Does it work for other twist-style games?

Yes. Any game where you make words of three letters or more from a fixed set of letters works the same way.
